Written Halloween, 1999. A joke about a joke, a rebellion against rebellion, a non-conformist amongst non-conformists! For chaotically angry, always hungry, dispossessed people everywhere.
“Stole part of one song, put it in another. Am I condemned to plagiarize my own existence?”
Stolen bits: Middle Interlude from my instrumental “To Ride The Tide”. Second, from Bach's Badinerie, and third, circus music, Entrance of the Gladiators, by Julius Fucik. Nina Hagen's vocalese use of the same, from “Atomic Flash Deluxe: Nina Hagen in Ekstacy”.
I mistook the map for the territory, I ate the menu! Sensory overload has us eating the menu. Let's really “Get Real”!

chasing the tail of my karma,
sometimes thought it would lead up my ass,
till one day my brain exploded with too many words,
blew a fuse and that was enough

couldn't taste the meal so i ate the menu,
couldn't buy the restaurant
so i blew up the computer
couldn't live with guilt so i blew it out the window
couldn't handle living till i came to simply be

chasing myself out of existence
where do i end and you begin
sometimes thought i would lose my sense of humor
but that's all there was in the end

stole part of one song and put it in another
now i forgot, what was that line?
